The Soggy Dollar Bar is a famous watering hole for sailors in the British Virgin Islands. Sailors anchor off the island and swim ashore with a dollar in their pocket to purchase their famous rum drink - the Pain Killer.
I have primed the gesso board with an acrylic medium into which I run instruments to create texture. For me this creates an undercurrent and energy to my painting.
