This is a plein air interior painting of a cottage on the Rappahannock River. I loved the way the morning sun washed the walls with its golden glow. It was so inviting and seemed to predict the coming of a great new day.
I prime my gesso board with an acrylic medium and run items through it to create texture then let it dry before painting with oils. I can feel the energy this technique provides with every stroke. I trust the viewer will sense this as well.
