On the Way to the Wedding

On the Way to the Wedding
After driving four hours through the mountains to my friend's wedding, I was about 10 minutes away — and going to be late. I had hung my dress in the back seat so it wouldn't be a wrinkled mess, but I knew I wouldn't have time to change. So at each stoplight I came to, I started changing my clothes. When I came to this stoplight, I was half-in, half-out of my dress, but grabbing my phone so I could take photos of the glorious sunset above the buildings became more important, because I knew I would want to paint the scene later. I arrived mostly clothed, threw on my heels, teetered over to the venue, and made it just as they were walking down the aisle.
