HVSR Engine #3

I was inspired by the efforts of a completely volunteer-run organization who completely disassembled this 1920’s steam engine and rebuilt it from scratch. It was a fascinating adventure both physically in what I had to do to capture the images, and visually in learning all the little details of the outside of the train, also learning about the organization, and touring their train garage. People love their trains and I wanted to explore that through my art. Painting the smoke was the most fun.
