It was vibrant, sunny, and dynamic scene. It spoke of a comfortable well being and a certain kind of old-world Swiss colorful welcome. Helvetia is a historical village settled in the 1860s by Swiss and German immigrants deep in the mountains of West Virginia. Having been an isolated community, it retains some of it’s traditional architecture and culture.
