Learning from a Master Bee Keeper

While at our local bee club’s field day in the club’s Bee yard, I was struck by the contrast of the white bee suits with the green grass and the lilies floating in the pond. I took a number of photos and constructed this composition in my studio. I have attempted to reflect the intensity of the local bee keepers as they came to understand the changes in the hive in the spring. It now seems obvious that the master beekeeper felt no need to wear protective gear, because he was comfortable with bees.
