It was a cold, grey, drizzly day. My attention was on the mysterious area under the big tree. I was bundled up and using my umbrella to keep me and my easel dry, when the overcast lifted a bit and a beam of light hit a bush on path in the middle ground. I realized it was a rose bush! My focus immediately changed to feature that and the shadows that fell across the walkway.
