Father and Son

These two lovely dogs are Basset Hounds
In April 2023. The annual dog show was hosted at the Ohio State Fairground. We love the dog shows. We can see so many dogs of different breeds and backgrounds. The owners of the dogs are usually friendly and eager to show off their best friend to people.

While we were inside the building, I was trying to find something interesting to photograph. A small dog was walking by me, it had a very long body. I asked my husband if it was a sausage dog. A very nice and well-dressed young man about 15 years old told me that I could take pictures of his dog. I was very happy to get many pictures of this little guy.

After we got home, I wondered how to present this little dog on canvas.

Finally, I decided to create two dogs together as family members, I named the painting Father and Son. I want to show the relationship between these two animals. There is love and trust between both of them.
