Bucktail Falls

Painting outside is the best! I like water and I really like waterfalls. I work in oils on masonite board. This is my largest outdoor painting yet. It took me going out 10 times to paint this scene, I would arrive at the same time each day and paint 3-4 hours each session. Getting the rocks to look like rocks on the right side of the board was the hardest part of the painting to get right. I was in a shaded area so there wasn't a lot of sun shining threw and that's ok.
