Malibu Creek Crossing
At Malibu State Park, I found this section of creek overshadowed by sycamore and oak trees. It was the shadows and light interspersed among the trees that drew me to painting the scene. Malibu's rural beauty seemed to be encapsulated in this idyllic arrangement of natural shapes, colors and textures. The painting was selected by jurors from the California Art Club for the triennial exhibition "On Location in Malibu", at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum on the campus of Pepperdine University.
