Rural Jungle is an oil painting on canvas that began as a plein air painting of my backyard, and was finished in studio.
The stairs up into the forest has always been my favorite part of our property because of how enigmatic it becomes when it grows late in the afternoon and the sun is beginning to dip past the tree line.
