Moment of Tranquility
This painting, which I created based on a moment I captured in CancĂșn, portrays a serene scene where a girl gazes at the ocean from the edge of a pool. I used a spatula technique to achieve a smooth, glassy finish, blending various shades of blue with broad, sweeping motions. This method not only creates a striking visual effect but also adds depth to the scene by blurring the boundary between reality and reflection. The interplay of the girl's reflection and the pool's edge enhances this effect, inviting viewers to ponder the connection between humans and nature.
My intention with this painting was to go beyond mere aesthetic appeal and encourage contemplation of how we perceive ourselves and our environment. It evokes a sense of calm, highlighting the beauty of fleeting moments and inspiring reflection on the transient nature of life. Through this technique and subject matter, I aim to provide a meditative experience, prompting viewers to appreciate the harmony and beauty in everyday scenes of life.
