This piece was inspired by the ethereal woods of Acadia, Maine. My goal with this piece was to transform chaos into order, and draw focal points for the viewer to lead them down this forested path as I viewed it in Acadia. The dappled light and shadow patterns create a web of organic materials that the viewer tracks deeper into the image, providing depth and structure to the scene.
