Pearls Before Swine

Pearls Before Swine, Figure & Portrait
Pearls Before Swine
“Pearls Before Swine” 30 by 30 inches, oil on panel.
This painting captures the moment we realize we are not being appreciated and must remove ourselves from environments that don't value our efforts. To cast pearls before swine is to offer something that is helpful or valuable to someone who does not understand it. It is important we don't waist our time with those who do not see our worth. The tear in the mask represents the pain we feel from breaking away from the past. Although we grow to understand what we deserve, it can still be heartbreaking to say goodbye to a world we thought we belonged to. In this painting she is unveiling her new self, finding the courage to show her face to a new life that will accept and honor her.
